Kathaleen I. Mitchell, 96, Beaver Springs
Kathaleen I. Mitchell, 96, of Beaver Springs passed away on Friday, March 8, 2024 at Riverwoods Skilled Nursing, Lewisburg.
She was born June 13, 1927 in McClure, a daughter of the late George and Julia (Erb) Romig. On May 10, 1947 she married Lee R. Mitchell who preceded her in death on November 27, 1996.
Kathaleen attended Beaver Vocational High School.
She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Beaver Springs.
Kathaleen worked at the Beavertown Weaving Mill, Fisher Stereos in Milroy, Middleswarth Potato Chips, and at the Selinsgrove Center in the kitchen until her retirement.
She was an avid bingo fanatic.
Kathaleen is survived by one son, Darvin Mitchell; two brothers, Weldon (Mary) Romig, Dennis (Anna) Romig; one sister, Cheryl Reich; numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Herman, Wallace, and Vernon Romig; one sister, Arlene Reidinger.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, March 14 from 10-11 am at the Kreamer Funeral Home, 130 S. Zechman St., Beavertown, followed by the funeral service at 11 with Pastor Denny Mallonee officiating.
Burial will follow in Troxelville Union Cemetery.
