Jackie R. Hoffman, 86, McClure

Jackie R. Hoffman, 86, of McClure passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at the Embassy of Hearthside, State College.

He was born April 22, 1938 in Decatur Twp., Mifflin Co., a son of the late Emmet and Beulah (Bowersox) Hoffman. On June 25, 1966 he married the former Frances E. Will who survives.

Jackie was a 1956 graduate of Lewistown High School.

He was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Beaver Springs.

He worked as a loom fixer at the Beavertown Weaving Mill for over 30 years.

Jackie was an honorary member of the Old Orchard Trail Hunting Club in Beavertown. He enjoyed watching the Philadelphia Phillies, Eagles, the Golden State Warriors and Penn State Wrestling.

Surviving in addition to his wife Frances of 58 years are two sons, Michael Hoffman and his companion Missy and David Hoffman; three grandchildren, Colby, Ty, and Trevor Hoffman; one sister, Gertrude Knouse; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Jimmie, Clifford and Carl Hoffman; one sister, Sandra Mellott; daughter-in-law, Andrea Hoffman.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, November 23 from 10-11 am at the Kreamer Funeral Home, 130 S. Zechman St., Beavertown followed by a graveside service at 11:30 am in Samuel's Church Cemetery, 480 Samuel's Church Road, McClure with Pastor Denny Mallonee officiating.
