Harry M. Furgison, 80, McClure
Harry M. Furgison, 80, of McClure passed away on Friday, December 22, 2023 at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
He was born Dec. 25, 1942 in Lewistown, a son of the late Janet M. (Furgison) Brosius.
Harry was a graduate of West Snyder High School with the class of 1960. Following high school, he proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1960-1963.
He worked at the Beavertown Silk Mill, owned Furgison Garage and Conestoga Wood Specialties.
Harry loved woodworking, tractors and was known to be a very gifted mechanic.
Surviving is a son, Michael (Linda) Furgison; a daughter, Kelly (Bill) Klingler; five grandchildren, Jeffrey and Ryan Furgison, Dalton, Dylan, Delaney Klingler; a sister, Melvina Wagner; cousins, Sandy (Richard) Hoy and Janice Stumpff; special friends, Roy (Maxine) King Jr.; and life-long friend, Joe and Sue Bratton.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Furgison; a sister, Jane Furgison; his maternal grandparents, Wilbur and Sarah Furgison.
A private graveside service will be held with Pastor Jim Matthews officiating.
Arrangements are by the Kreamer Funeral Home, 130 S. Zechman St., Beavertown.
