Harold L. Fisher Sr., 86, of McClure, went to be with his Lord and Savior Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital with his loving family by his side.
He was born May 3, 1938, in West Beaver Township, Snyder County, a son of the late Robert W. and Meriam (Weader) Fisher.
Harold was a graduate with the first class of West Snyder High School in 1956.
He was a member of Oakland Mills Evangelical Methodist Church for more than 20 years.
Harold worked at Standard Steele in Burnham for 39 years until his retirement.
He loved going to church, attending gospel concerts, family gatherings, and traveling. Harold was a car enthusiast and an avid Phillies, Eagles, 76ers, and Yankee fan.
Surviving are two sons, Harold L. (Rhonda M.) Fisher Jr. and Jason B. (Danielle M.) Fisher; two daughters, Dorraine (Eric) Read and Caroline (Brian) Frankhouser; three stepchildren, Sonya Zimmerman, John Zeigler, Wayne Zeigler; grandchildren, Shawn (Miranda) Ritter, Heather Wertz, Joshua (Brittany) Tate, John (Nicole) Tate, Travis Fisher, Nicole (Phil) Longer, Keaton Kreider, Alec Fisher, Jordyn Fisher, Udele (Chad) Bingaman, Zared (Jessica) Shawver; eight step-grandchildren, 28 great-grand and step-great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; one brother, Ronald Fisher; one sister, Roberta Rhodes; son-in-law, Robert Shawver; numerous nieces and nephews.
Harold was preceded in death by one daughter, Leah Shawver; one stepdaughter, Malinda Snook; and three brothers, Robert, William, and Herbert Fisher.
A viewing will be held Tuesday, May 28, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at Oakland Mills Evangelical Methodist Church, 148 Leonard Road, Oakland Mills, PA 17076 followed by the funeral service at 11:30 with Pastor Nathanael Mowery officiating.
Burial will follow in Black Oak Ridge Cemetery, McClure.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to honor Harold's memory may be made to Oakland Mills Evangelical Methodist Church.
Arrangements are by the Kreamer Funeral Home, 130 S. Zechman St., Beavertown.
