Glenda J. Helwig, 84, of McClure passed away peacefully on Friday, January 30, 2026 at her home.

She was born March 13, 1941 in McAlisterville, a daughter of the late Russell D. "Dude" and Julia M. (Varner) Helwig.

Glenda attended Faith Baptist Church in Beaver Springs.

She was a licensed practical nurse and worked for Sun Home Hospice.

Surviving are six children, Audrey Fetterman, Theresa Shetter, Cynthia Wagner, S. Scott Bonsall, Kelly Swartworth, and Juli Jones; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 18 great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Rodney Helwig; five sisters, Judith Harling, Sharon Brown, Roxie Portzline, Victoria Selvoski, and Nancy Rodgers.

Glenda was preceded in death by two grandsons; one great-grandson; two brothers, Ronald and Samuel Helwig; and two sisters, Shirley Soder and Gail Cohick.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 5 from 1-2 pm at the Kreamer Funeral Home, 130 S. Zechman St., Beavertown followed by a memorial service at 2 with Pastor Denny Mallonee officiating.
