Donald L. Moyer, 90, of Beaver Springs was welcomed into the arms of his Lord and Savior on Friday, February 13, 2026 at his daughter’s residence with his loving family by his side.
He was born December 19, 1935 at home in Freeburg, a son of the late John L. and Frances R. (Ferster) Moyer. He married the former Naomi G. Reichenbach on March 21, 1959 who preceded him in death on April 5, 2015.
Donald was a graduate of Freeburg High School. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Lock Haven University and his master’s degree from Bucknell University.
Donald was an elementary school teacher for grades 4,5,6 for 40 years until his retirement.
He faithfully attended Grace Reformed Church in Troxelville.
Donald was part of the inspiration for the development of the Middlecreek Area Community YMCA in Beaver Springs. He loved all sports and enjoyed gardening, fishing, coaching, refereeing, and talking to people about Christ.
Surviving are two daughters, Crystal (Fred) Lepley and Tracey Bobb; one son, Steve (Rebecca) Moyer; eight grandchildren, Andrea (Chris) Landis, Nicole (Joshua) Young, Brian (Lauren) Bobb, Lindsey Anderson, Aaron Bobb and his fiancé Felicia Sabrick, Lauren (Thomas) Didyoung, Olivia Moyer, and Adam Moyer; thirteen great-grandchildren, Peyton, Bryce, Charles, Lucas, Reid, David, Cody, Grace, Jade, Eva, Lina, Asher, and Hunter; one brother, Raymond Moyer; one sister, Gladys Moyer; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Michael Bobb; two brothers, Gerald and Glenn Moyer; and one sister, Mildred Leitzel
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, February 19 from 9 am-12 pm. at Beavertown God’s Missionary Church, 1693 Creek Rd. Middleburg followed by the funeral service at 12 with Rev. Dwight Rine officiating. A celebration of life luncheon will be held at the M.A.C YMCA following the service.
Private interment will be held in Adamsburg Cemetery, Beaver Springs.
