Donald Kline Obituary

Donald L. Kline, 75, of rural Middleburg, passed away unexpectedly, Monday, Dec. 25, 2023, at his home.

He was born Dec. 3, 1948, in Sunbury, a son of Ruth I. (Bachman) Kline Bowersox and the late Paul W. Kline Sr.

Donald was a 1966 graduate of Middleburg High School. Later he went on to graduate from Williamsport Area Community College in 1974 with an associate's degree in mechanics after serving in the United States Army from 1968-1970.

Donald worked several jobs prior to working as a mechanic at Beavertown Block until his retirement.

Donald was a member of the Middleburg Moose Lodge 1229 and the Middleburg VFW Post 5640. He was an avid hunter and loved baseball, especially the Atlanta Braves. Donald also enjoyed watching Penn State and playing baseball, softball and soccer.

In addition to his mother, Donald is survived by a son, Daniel L. Kline; two brothers, Dale (Lawana) Kline and Paul (Lisa) Kline Jr.; one sister, Dianne (Barry) Hackenberg; one stepbrother, Joseph (Sharon) Stallone; one stepsister, Marci (Ivan) Hassinger; sister-in-law, Deborah Kline; step sister-in-law, Debbie Stallone; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one brother, David Kline; one sister, Debra P. Kline; one stepbrother, Jeffrey Stallone.

A visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 3, at the Kreamer Funeral Home, 130 S. Zechman St., Beavertown followed by a celebration of life service at 11 with Rev. Kathy Mercado officiating.

Burial with full military honors accorded by the Middle-West Veterans Honor Guard will be held in Adamsburg Cemetery, Beaver Springs.
