David Plummer Obituary

David E. "Dink" Plummer, 87, of Beaver Springs, went to his Heavenly home on July 17 at his home with his loving family by his side.

He was born Feb. 26, 1937, in New Lancaster Valley, a son of the late David J. and Mary A. (Paige) Plummer. On Aug. 7, 1954, he married the former Blanche M. Shawver who preceded him in death on Nov. 12, 2020.

He attended the Armagh School in Mifflin County.

David was a member of God's Missionary Church in Lewistown where he had served as a Sunday school superintendent and a board member. He also sang in numerous area churches.

He worked as a truck driver for Kuhns Brothers Lumber Co. for many years.

David was a life-time member of the NRA and former member of the Gold Spring Hunting Camp. He enjoyed hunting and camping with his family. The love of his life was his grandchildren.

Surviving are two sons, Keith A. (Shirley) Plummer and Steve W. Plummer; three daughters, Crystal C. (Doug) Shaffer, Cheryl L. Knepp, and Marianne M. Plummer; four grandchildren, Jarrod (Amanda) Plummer, Joshua (Lauren) Knepp, Jenna (Matt) Barger, and David (Nicole) Shaffer; five great-grandchildren, Caden, Leighton, Paisley, Landon and Hadley; three step- grandchildren; numerous step great-grandchildren; two brothers, James (Karen) Plummer and Richard (Faye) Plummer; one sister, Nancy (Michael) Sipe; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one grandson, Derrick Plummer; three brothers, Eugene, Edward and Gary Plummer; and one sister, Doris Trego.

A viewing will be held Monday, July 22, from 12-2 p.m. at the Kreamer Funeral Home, 130 S. Zechman St., Beavertown followed by the funeral service at 2 with Rev. John Zechman officiating.

Burial will be held in Baker's EUB Cemetery, McClure.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to honor David's memory may be made to Tunnels to Towers, 2361 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island, NY 10306.
