Darrel E. “Cook” Snook, 77, of Middleburg went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 24, 2025, in rural Beaver Springs.
He was born July 21, 1947, in Lewistown, a son of the late Otis P. and Anna P. (Ewing) Snook. Darrel was married to the former Barbara A. Schlegel who preceded him in death on Dec. 18, 2018.
Darrel was a 1965 graduate of West Snyder High School.
He worked at Woode-Mode for 42 years until his retirement.
Darrel was known to be a quiet person. He enjoyed collecting coins, helping his mother cook, gardening, and tending to his apple, peach, and pear trees in his orchard. He also enjoyed attending the Middleburg Flea Market frequently where he had the chance to see a lot of his friends. Most importantly, he loved his family and spending time with them. He will be greatly missed by his faithful companion, his dog Ruby.
Darrel is survived by one sister, Darlene (Ronald) Benfer; one brother, Darvin Snook; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, May 30, 2025, from 10-11 am at the Kreamer Funeral Home, 130 S. Zechman St., Beavertown followed by the funeral service at 11 with Pastor Darvin Reich officiating.
Burial will follow in Aline Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant Mills.
