Crosby William Schreyer, aged 88, was welcomed home by his Savior Jesus Christ November 26, 2025, a son of the late Jacob Alvin and Vera Schreyer.
Corky was preceded in death by his sons, Robert Alvin Schreyer, step-son Paul Grieder; brother Alvin Schreyer and sister Sylvia Schreyer.
Born on January 19, 1937 in Brookhaven, Long Island, N.Y., Corky was a graduate of Babylon High School, enlisted U.S. Navy serviceman from 1955 to 1956. After a 40-year career, Corky retired from the Long Island Lighting Company (LILCO) in New York.
Corky and his wife Ellen, were members of Faith Baptist Church in Beaver Springs, PA and most recently New Life Fellowship in Beaver Springs, PA. A devoted churchman, Corky supported the Body of Christ in many roles including: Deacon, Sunday School Superintendent, Sunday School teacher, choir member, Christian Service Brigade Chief Ranger, committee member and general handyman! Corky devoted a large portion of his time serving those around him.
Corky sought to live each day for the glory of God. By faith, we believe that he has seen his Savior and he has looked on his God. Corky’s greatest treasure is his loving and devoted wife, Ellen.
Corky will be deeply missed by those blessed to be inside his circle of love and service. Early in his faith, Corky discovered his life verse; “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6
