Brian Shea Obituary

Middleburg, Pennsylvania - Brian K. Shea, 64, of Paxtonville passed away on Monday, April 13th, 2026. Brian was born on September 8th, 1961, in Norristown to Stephen B. Shea & M. Lois Shea. He was the Oldest of 5 siblings. Brian was preceded in death by his beloved companion, friend, wife and soulmate of 45 plus years Kathryn A. Shea, and his beloved son Nevin Michael Shea.

Brian is survived by his father Stephen B. Shea of Mt. Pleasant Mills, PA, Mother M. Lois Shea of Zellwood, FL, son Stephen & wife Michelle of Hauser, Idaho, son Matthew & companion Kayla of Liverpool, and his collected children Quinn, Cori, & Penelope Robinson, Cyrus, Christina, and their children Reese, Freya, and Hardin Robinson.

In addition, he is also survived by his little sister Kara Febus and husband Matt of Souderton, sister Maureen Shea of Quakertown, brother Michael Shea of Philadelphia, sister-in-law Terry Shea of Dublin, brother-in-law Michael Rice of Schwenksville, sister-in-law June Marie Brauer and husband Charles of Hatfield, brother-in-law Jacob Hartkorn & companion Cindy of West Chester, sisters-in-law Denise Hartkorn & Linda Hartkorn, as well as numerous nieces & nephews.

Brian grew up in Lederach, PA and was a 1979 graduate of Souderton Area High School & Western Montgomery County Vocational Technical School. He was the President of the Western Montgomery County FFA Chapter.

After graduation, he worked at Lockhart Farms, his grandparents farm in Chalfont, PA. in 1980, he met Kathy on her first day working in the farm store. They later married in February of 1982. They raised 3 sons together while living in Salfordville, as he worked as an excavation foreman for G&M Enterprises by day, and changing tires by night for Indian Valley Enterprises in Souderton, before moving to Snyder County in 1995.

On January 1st, 1995, he and Kathy moved to Mt. Pleasant Mills and started Shea Livestock Hauling. Eventually he drove truck for Ivan P. Lauver & Son Trucking before transitioning to selling John Deere farm equipment for Valley Ag & Turf. He also spent time selling farm equipment for Hoober Inc. and Messick's. Brian was last employed by Engle's Greenhouse in Middleburg.

Brian recently told his family, when it came time to compose his obituary, "Just tell everyone to read Kathy's, because he followed her around".

Brian was proud to have been inducted as a lifetime member of the Upper Salford Volunteer Fire Company in Salfordville, PA, where he served terms as both Treasurer and Chief Engineer. Brian was a board member for the Beaver Community Fair. He also enjoyed taking his sons to car and equipment shows, tractor pulls, and in the truck with him when he was driving.

A short service will be held Saturday, April 18th, 2026, at 11:00 am at the Beaver Community Fairgrounds, Memorial Building, 785 Snyder Ave., Beaver Springs. A meal and visitation with the family will follow in the Memorial Building at the same location.

The family will be handling floral arrangements. In lieu of flowers, please contribute in Brian's name to the Beaver Community Fair New Building Fund. Donations can be mailed to: Beaver Community Fair, New Building Fund, c/o Amanda Aurand, 170 Kissimmee Rd., Middleburg, PA 17842.
