Arthur F. Baumgardner Jr., 82, of McClure passed away on Friday, November 21, 2025 at his home.
He was born August 7, 1943 in Lewistown, a son of the late Arthur F. Sr. and Hester (Bowersox) Baumgardner. On November 5, 2000 he married the former Jane E. Spigelmyer who survives.
Arthur was a 1961 graduate of West Snyder High School. Following high school, he went on to serve in the Army National Guards.
He was a member of Baker’s United Methodist Church, McClure.
Arthur worked at Charles Saylor Shirt Factory in Beavertown and later he worked at PennDOT until his retirement. After retirement he worked for the borough of McClure and mowed the McClure Bean Soup grounds.
He was a member of the N.R.A. Arthur enjoyed watching the trains at the Lewistown Train Station and walking through cornfields looking for arrowheads.
In addition to his wife Jane, he is survived by one granddaughter, Shawna; one sister, Judy (Jimmy) Soles; one aunt, Helen Young; one niece, Cheryl (Phillip) Braune; and one nephew, Craig Soles.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Brandi Baumgardner; and one brother, Jimmy Baumgardner.
A viewing will be held Friday, November 28 from 10-11 am at the Kreamer Funeral Home, 130 S. Zechman St., Beavertown followed by the funeral service at 11 with Rev. Kathy Mercado officiating.
Burial will follow in Samuel’s Church Cemetery, McClure.
