Arlene E. Flood, 78, McClure
Arlene E. Flood, 78, of McClure passed away on Thursday, April 13 at her home with her family by her side.
She was born September 10, 1944 in Lewisburg, a daughter of the late George F. and Ruth E. (Wieder) Bickhart. On October 27, 1963 she married Harold W. Flood Jr. who survives.
Arlene was a graduate of West Snyder High School with the class of 1962.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in McClure where she was very active with church activities and functions.
Arlene worked at the Kinney Shoe Factory in Beaver Springs, the Country Outlet in McClure, and was a babysitter for numerous children in McClure.
Arlene loved summertime at the swimming pool, baking, sewing and mending clothes, gardening, and was known to have the gift of gab. She also helped with the Boy Scouts and always looked forward to the McClure Bean Soup. Arlene loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to her husband Harold are two sons, Scott (Susan) Flood and Corey (Kathy Barber) Flood; two grandchildren, Michael (Hailey) Flood and Rebecca (Paul) Moseley Jr.; three great-grandchildren, Tobin, Noah, Delilah; two brothers, David and John Bickhart.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Bickhart; one sister, Phyllis Gerfen.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 22 from 10-11 am at Trinity Lutheran Church, 6 W. Specht St., McClure followed by a celebration of life service at 11 with Rev. Lisa Schuster officiating.
Burial will follow in Troxelville Union Cemetery.
